I used to think staying quiet was the professional thing to do.
It wasn’t.
Being silent is how someone else walked into the room and took credit for my work.
You know that moment.
Your idea.
Their voice.
And everyone nods at them.
It’s infuriating.
It happened over and over because I was not as loud or as well liked.
But because it happened - I had to figure out how to deal with it without looking like a whiny 5 year old with a crushed ego.
Then I realized it - credit theft isn’t about ego.
It’s about control.
When someone else tells the story of your work, they own the narrative.
And if they own the narrative long enough…
They own the opportunities that should have been yours.
Therefore, I learned to break the pattern
I started to show my work early so no one could rewrite the origin.
I began to share progress openly so visibility isn’t up for debate.
I started to build direct relationships with decision-makers.
This is how you protect your reputation without blowing up a meeting or starting a fight.
I unpack the full strategy in today’s podcast on handling credit stealers at Company of One.

That's the reality... "who did" matters a lot more than "what's done".
Elon, Bill, Bezos... do not code/count... but are "approved" as "examples to follow" to public...
"represent" those who "do"... and fire / kill those who "did" when it's "done"... When it's "done" - you are done. Product kept, author - gone. Ownership is "taken"... not built.
They pay only when that is unavoidable... caught by inspectors (with weapons) / investors (with money).
Pleasuring them leads nowhere... they just say "pleasuring me is a privilege for someone like you"..."Love or die...". Thousands of "pleasure givers" trying to pleasure their superior daily...
Many places are just analphabetic sado/mazo cages, where money moves up, titles move down...
"traps", "intimidation" based hierarchy. Not "tech skills" or 'education'...
Kids making babies while "looking busy"... Graduate "acting lessons". Literally courses titled "act like", look-alike-a CEO...
Hold "ownership" at all cost. Use Death, war...
Their "logo" (flag, brand) on your forehead. Demand "cultural fitting"... build cults... obedience. Followers.
"owners" punish you if you don't pay /pleasure them.
Bottom up - money and pleasuring
Top down - titles and punishments

It's like your describing some sort of high school project or something. I totally see it though.
I worked at a place where the ultimate veto of anything discussed in the meeting rested in the hands of a guy who almost never spoke in those meetings. The manager would just go talk to him in private after the meeting. That's where things were actually decided.
